For those new to Shutter Blossoms I offer photography prints on Etsy and while I rarely make a sale when I do, it’s to a beautiful person for all the right reasons. In this case a customer bought a 5×7 of a photo near and dear to my heart – sunset in Charleston, SC. My marriage was falling apart in 2012, so that spring my parents and I took a 3 day trip to my favorite city in the world – where I captured this image.
I was beyond thrilled when I discovered one of my prints sold!
To add to the warm and fuzzy feeling, the customer shared a beautiful story with me about this location and her warm memories of Charleston. After expediting the print to her overnight (to have it in time) she wrote the most wonderful note to me. I asked permission, and now I share it with you.
Oh my goodness, Mika! I am so grateful for the overnight service! Please invoice me and I will get this payment for that service quickly.
Your beautiful print is exactly what I needed! Let me explain…I have been looking everywhere for a print in the evening of The Battery in Charleston. 40 years ago this weekend marks the anniversary of a special relationship. It’s 40 years ago that I dated a young man who is now my best friend!
The battery is where we would spend a lot of time together when we were dating and it always holds such a special place in both of our hearts. As a matter of fact, the very location that you captured with your picture is where we used to spend time. It’s the curve on the battery called South Battery. I am so excited that I found the perfect picture to give as the 40th anniversary gift to my friend! Mika, thank you so much for making it possible!
Thank you again for going out of your way to get it to me so quickly. I can’t even tell you how much it meant to me.
Blessings for you and for your business Mika
My art is created from passion. When someone makes a solid connection with one of my pieces, I know I’m doing something right. I don’t believe in coincidences, I know we are all connected.
